Key Job Responsibilities
1. Process Analysis & Electrical Review
Review and analyze P&ID diagrams for process understanding, prepare I/O lists, and verify power and control wiring of panels as per electrical drawings.
2. PLC & HMI Development
Develop PLC logic and User Interface software (SCADA or HMI) using various PLC languages to meet defined P&ID, process flows, interlocks, and alarm requirements. Proficient to develop 21 CFR Part 11 compliant programme.
3. Communication, Drives & Instrumentation
Configure and interface PLC, HMI, VFD, load cells, servo systems, and analog I/O using trending protocols; program VFDs. Configure vision systems, printers, etc.
4. Testing, Commissioning & Site Support
Testing and recording the software results before releasing to production. Execute the machine I/O testing. Conduct IFAT/FAT in line with process requirements, perform machine trials, support software and hardware modifications, and provide on-site and remote technical assistance to site engineers.
5. Documentation, Coordination & Customer Interaction
Coordinate with documentation teams for PLC FDS preparation and machine documentation including operation manuals and validation documents. Ensure compliance with customer & process requirements and effectively interact with customers and cross-functional teams. Handover and store software backups for customer projects for machine lifecycle management.
6. Coordination & Customer Interaction
Impart training to QA on new machine functions and special customer solutions. Support QA to execute machine testing before factory acceptance test (FAT). Provide information related to software and machine functions to Design, QA & Service Team. Provide feedback to inter-departments for enhancement features.
