SEMI AUTOMATIC CAPSULE FILLING MACHINE
AUTO STOP & SEPARATION
Empty capsules are filled in the capsule hopper. They are fed into the rectifying unit by magazine tubes. In the rectifying unit, capsules are oriented into a position where the body end is pointed downwards. Now, with mechanical motion and negative pressure airflow, capsules enter the cavities (holes) in the revolving capsule rings. The rotation stops automatically after completion of one revolution. Vacuum separates capsule body and cap. The body is retained by the lower section and the cap by the upper section. 3 HP direct drive motor fitted with controls operates the vacuum pump, which separates the body and cap.


AUTO RETURN & POWDER DOSING

Once the capsule ring is full, the two sections are separated and the lower section, which carries the capsule body, is placed under the filling mechanism. The drug from the hopper is automatically filled into the capsule bodies. After filling the powder in to the capsules the powder hopper returns automatically. The auger arrangement in the hopper permits accurate dosage of the drug in each capsule. The capsule weight increases with the reduction in table speed and with the increase in the level of the drug in the hopper.  Eight different table speeds can be obtained with the help of two adjustable levers provided at the front and there are three positions provided at the backside of the gearbox with positioning lever. By shifting the lever the rotation of the Augur in the stirrer assembly will be changed thus desired quantity be filled in the capsules. The possibility of getting better accuracy is increased. That means the filled weight is near to the desired weight. 

AUTO CLOSING

The Capsule holding ring assembly is placed on the Peg ring, which is fitted inside the Automatic Horizontal Closing System. When the Push button is ON the Acrylic Sheet is swung into position to hold the capsules in the ring. The peg ring pins are enter into holes of the body holding ring and the pneumatic cylinder operates joining the filled body halves back into the cap halves. The holding ring assembly twists automatically thus pushing the capsules out of the holding ring assembly. The joined capsules thus fall, through the joiner shoot into the capsule receiver box which screens the excess powder from the capsules and delivers them to any convenient container.
